Creating another source of income
Creating another source of income is easy, When you begin brainstorming and start thinking about other ways to make money. What is the first thing that comes to mind, well for me it was self doubt, in my mind what was I going to sell I had no clue. So I made a list, the first step to create another source of income is plan out what you want to do will it be resell, create your own product and brand it.
Well the first thing i did is set out to see what is right in front of me and that was clothes and shoes. I love Vintage clothes, unique designs and of course the shoes. Ok so i know what i want to sell. What’s next?
Second step: what passions in life do you have that can relate to your niche/product etc… Well for me it is hip-hop. I have been breaking for 16 years and most of the vintage clothes that were used in breaking were mostly 80’s and 90’s. As for shoes they are relevant in this day of age of any kind. Now that I got Step 1 and 2 done I have to figure out what platform to use to sell my product.
Third step: Figuring out your platform. Which is based on what you want to sell. I decided to go with Ebay which is what I prefer. Well now that I got my plan more founded, the next step is research.
Fourth step: Research is one of my favorite parts and most important parts. So remember back when i said start off with whats around you well now this is what i did i like shoes and i have a couple vintage clothing items i wear now if you want to you could start off with these items or if you have 50$ you could buy about 10 items or more to start making money.
But before you go out and start buying, be sure to research products, see what sells, see what doesn’t don’t just shop, read a couple blogs like this one with some info that could be beneficial and when you do start shopping you know exactly what to look for.
Fifth: List your items with depth of information. Become an analyst and differ the products when listing them online. When listing them online, remember you just started you are not going to sell the right thing unless you fill out every detail and price everything correctly. Always stay on top of whats relevant to what you are selling from price changes to advertisement
Sixth Step: Do Not Give up !
Bonus Tip – The best thing you could do when building your reputation as a seller is consistency and always taking your business to the next level whether it is part time or full time remember to always bring new alternatives to the table as the E-commerce platform is always changing.
